
Incoupling optics distribute laser energy into one or more process fibers. The optics can accept either a free space collimated beam or a feeding fiber from a fiber laser. It is possible to time-share or energy- share a laser between several work stations. Integrated control and safety electronics ensure laser safety for the beam delivery.
Time- or energy-share the laser source
Sometimes one output channel from a laser is not enough. Coherent offers several solutions for time sharing or energy sharing a laser source. Multiple lens configurations are available to maximize output power while ensuring BPP losses are minimized.
Protect the feeding fiber
Using the feeding fiber from your fiber laser directly to the application can be problematic. If the feeding fiber is damaged, down-time is inevitable and potentially costly. By using a fiber-to-fiber optic switch or couplers (FFS ac/wc and FFC ac/wc), the feeding fiber is protected by virtue of an exchangeable process fiber.
Certified safety concept
Laser safety is paramount for all incoupling optics. The integrated electronics monitor fiber breakage, cabinet doors, mirror positions, etc. The DGUV-certified safety electronics enables rapid integration of our components in industries demanding a high safety level.
